The Quincy Comedy Festival has partnered with the Marriott Boston to bring you a hilarious summer of comedy. The very best comedians were chosen by the Boston Comedy Festival and JM Productions. Comedians you may have seen on Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and of course, The Boston Comedy Festival.

This comedy series is an amazing opportunity for the perfect date, girl's or guys night out, or other significant celebration.

OCTOBER 22ND FEATURES: KEN ROGERSON

KEN ROGERSON, the funniest man you’ve never heard of, started his comedy career working the Chicago club circuit and at the famed Second City. After touring with the improvisation troupe The Comedy Rangers, Ken moved east and became part of the exploding Boston comedy scene of the 1980’s, where he honed his standup act to a fine edge “…sharp enough to cut the head off a rabbit at thirty yards.”

Fresh off his second nationwide “Rescue Me Comedy Tour” with Denis Leary, Kenny is a favorite in clubs, theaters and on the large and small screen. You may have seen him as “Kevin the Biker Fireman” on F/X’s hit show “Rescue Me” starring Denis Leary and as “Pat the Cop” on ABC’s “It’s All Relative” with Lenny Clarke. He has also made numerous other television appearances on such shows as NBC’s , “Late night with Conan O’Brien”, “The Late Show with David Letterman”, “Comics Come Home” for Comedy Central and Showtime’s “A Pair of Jokes” just to name a few. Rogerson has also appeared at The Chicago Comedy Festival and TBS’s The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.

The Boston Herald proclaimed, “He makes the absurd seem logical” and Las Vegas Magazine wrote, “As far as pure stand-up goes, it doesn’t get any better than Rogerson.” Michael Blowen of the Boston Globe raved, “He is fall down on the floor funny! Why doesn’t this guy have his own show?” Nick Zaino, also from the Globe says, “He’s as funny a comic as Boston has produced.”

See you at the show!

Peace!

For an additional cost we are offering food and beverage options beyond the basic “ticket only” price. Please remember there are credit card and a small ticket agent fee added on to the low “ferry only” ticket price. Due to fuel and food costs escalating throughout the US we worked out the best possible prices with our caterer “Craig’s Café” in Quincy center for food and beverage options. Due to strict laws with the ferry company, you may NOT bring food or beverages onto the boat. Bags will be checked with food/beverages confiscated till end of your cruise. We will NOT be selling any food or beverage products on board. Orders will be taken in advance when you buy your tickets. Walk up sales (if we do not sell out in advance) are cash only and no food or beverages will be offered. There is plenty of parking at Squantum Point Park (there is a small DCR fee).

We truly anticipate these cruises selling out quickly. Contact friends, family, colleagues to put your group together and order your tickets without delay! We cannot wait to see you on board JM’s Showboat Cruises! Peace!

SEPTEMBER 24TH FEATURES: TONY V

Tony V started his stand-up comedy career in 1982 after attending several shows at Boston’s prestigious Comedy Connection. He wandered in one night, quite by accident, looking for a little stress relief from a high pressure job as a case worker at the Somerville Mental Health Center. Tony was working his way toward a Masters degree in social work having graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B. S. in Psychology. It was not long after that he took to the stage himself. Tony’s street wise humor tempered with a genuine feel for the human condition quickly propelled him to headliner status on the national comedy club circuit.

In 1986 Tony V was named “Funniest Person in Massachusetts” by Showtime television. He followed this achievement with several performances on HBO, the Arts and Entertainment Network, Comedy Central and MTV. From 1987 through 1992 Tony V became the “spokesperson” for American Tourister Luggage. Remember the suit case smashing gorilla? It was Tony that gave the ape it’s distinct voice and temperament. Touring extensively in and out of his high tech forty-five thousand dollar yak hair gorilla suit, both Tony and his alter ego had many interesting adventures. If you get a chance ask Tony about a meeting between The Gorilla, Spuds MacKenzie and Ronald McDonald. You won’t believe your mind.

Network television was next on list for this Boston native. Spending time in New York and L. A. paid off with multiple highly acclaimed appearances on Late Night w/ Conan O’Brien, Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd w/ Colin Quinn and several sit-coms including Seinfeld, Boston Common, The Single Guy and Dr. Katz Professional Therapist. Having proven himself a solid comic actor Tony then tackled dramatic roles on television working with such notable actors as Eric Roberts, Ice T and James McDaniels from NYPD Blue.

Showboat Cruises from Squantum Point Park 4 Hour Fireworks Labor Day Event

  • Miwra Haul Road Quincy, MA, 02171 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

JM Productions is excited to announce that our FUN Showboat Cruises from Squantum Point Park are back for the Summer of 2022! Well, we are sort of back. You see due to the rising costs of fuel; JM Productions cannot bring the 280-seat riverboat “The Music Queen” back to Quincy which we started back in 2017! It was a wildly successful concept but with covid and because of other variables we must pivot this summer!

As an exciting alternative we have partnered with The Winthrop Ferry to bring our guests back out onto the Boston Harbor for six separate special cruising events. We offer a two-hour senior cruise (all ages welcomed), a three-hour evening cruise (adults only) & an incredibly special “one time only” four-hour JM Productions Showboat Fireworks cruise celebrating Labor Day (adults only)! The ferry holds fifty-five people for their private cruises with fixed and non-fixed seating on the bow and stern of the boat as well as inside their air-conditioned interior section. There is a bathroom on board as well. There will be themed music.
